How to select mens swim shorts

Summer is here and with it comes the days of sitting by the pool and stretching your toes out in the sand. But with the season historically characterized by warm and sunny weather comes the decision of choosing the right swim trunk. Guys need to decide on mens swim shorts as per their body type. It might sound silly, but given you are probably going to spend a considerable amount of time in it, it should look good. Here are a few things to keep in mind when going for a trunk:

• Length :If you’re a tall guy,choose a style that gives you much-needed inches and hovers around a 6-8” inseam. For shorter men, shorter length works well since it’s all about proportion. The short length of mens swim shorts shows more leg and hence makes you look like you have long legs and give the illusion of you being taller.
• Style: As far as mens swim shorts goes, there isn’t much to choose from: a traditional swim trunk, board short and a surf trunk. A classic swim trunk is easily identifiable by an elastic waistband. These styles have gotten popular, but, for the big and tall, ensure the added fabric doesn’t accompany elastic waistbands. Best is to stick to a trunk that has more of a flat waistband, or a board short.
• Color: The safest choice would be to go for a solid, but you may add some fun with a little print like a polka dot.
